PPI Guide — Choose the Right Density

• 15 PPI (XL Pore) — Coarse pre-filtration; ideal for removing large debris and particles.
• 25 PPI (L Pore) — Medium-coarse; balances mechanical and biological filtration.
• 35 PPI (M Pore) — Medium-fine; excellent for biological filtration in most setups.
• 50 PPI (S Pore) — Fine filtration; maximizes surface area for bacterial growth and polishing water clarity.

Important Note

The bio sponge is vacuum-packed and compressed for shipping. If it appears smaller or thinner than expected upon arrival, simply lay it flat for 1–2 days and it will fully expand back to its original shape. Vacuum compression does not affect filtration performance.
